How do I create my first story?

Sign up for a free account, claim your username, then upload videos or images as slides. Add captions and CTA buttons (like "Shop Now" or "Learn More") to each slide. Publish your story and share your clipora.bio/@username link anywhere you promote your content.

What video formats are supported?

We support most common video formats including MP4, MOV, and WebM. Videos are automatically optimized for mobile viewing and converted to HLS streaming for fast, smooth playback across all devices.

What's included in the Free plan?

Free plan includes 1 story with up to 2 slides, auto-assigned username, HLS video streaming, and a small Clipora watermark. Perfect for trying out the platform and seeing how story-style bio links can boost your engagement.

What's the difference between Pro and Creator plans?

Pro ($9/month): 3 stories, 10 slides per story, custom username, basic analytics, drag & drop CTA positioning, custom CTA themes, and no branding.

Creator ($29/month): Unlimited stories and slides, advanced analytics with geographic and device data, behavioral insights, priority support, and all Pro features.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes! All paid plans can be canceled anytime with no penalties. Your stories will remain active until the end of your billing period, then you'll be moved to the Free plan with appropriate limits.

How do I add call-to-action buttons?

When editing a slide, add your CTA button text (like "Shop Now") and the destination URL. Pro and Creator users can drag the button to any position on the slide and customize colors, fonts, and styling to match their brand.

What's the best aspect ratio for videos?

Vertical videos work best (9:16 aspect ratio, like Instagram Stories or TikTok). However, we automatically optimize any video format for mobile viewing. Square (1:1) and landscape videos also work well.

How long should my videos be?

Keep slides between 3-15 seconds for optimal engagement. You can set custom durations for each slide. Shorter videos tend to have higher completion rates, but the key is making each second count.

Can I reorder my slides?

Yes! In the Creator Studio, you can drag and drop slides to reorder them. This helps you craft the perfect narrative flow for your story experience.

What analytics are available?

Pro plans include basic analytics: story views, completion rates, and CTA click-through rates per slide. Creator plans add advanced analytics including geographic data, device types, traffic sources, session behavior, and referrer analysis.

How do I track my link performance?

All link clicks are automatically tracked. Use UTM parameters in your promotional links (like ?utm_source=instagram) to see which platforms drive the most traffic. Analytics update in real-time.

What's a good completion rate?

Completion rates vary by content type and audience, but generally 60-80% is excellent, 40-60% is good, and anything above 25% is better than traditional static bio links. Focus on compelling opening slides to hook viewers.

Do stories work on all devices?

Yes! Stories are optimized for mobile-first viewing but work perfectly on desktop and tablets. We use HLS streaming for smooth playback across all devices and browsers.

How fast do videos process?

Most videos process within 1-3 minutes. You'll see a "Processing..." indicator while videos are being optimized. Larger files may take slightly longer, but you can continue editing other slides while processing completes.

Can I use my own domain?

Currently, all stories are hosted on clipora.bio domains. Custom domains are on our roadmap for future updates. You can always redirect your own domain to your Clipora story URL.

Is there an API or integration available?

API access is planned for future releases. For now, you can manually create and update stories through our web interface. Contact us if you have specific integration needs.

Can I change my username later?

Pro and Creator users can change their username anytime in Account Settings. Free users have auto-assigned usernames that cannot be changed. Changing your username will update your clipora.bio link.

How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Visit the Billing section in your Creator Studio to upgrade or downgrade anytime. Changes take effect immediately (upgrades) or at the end of your billing period (downgrades).

What happens to my content if I downgrade?

When you downgrade or cancel your subscription, all your stories are immediately unpublished (hidden from public view) but remain accessible in your Creator Studio. You have 30 days to resubscribe and republish your content.

During this 30-day grace period, you can republish stories up to your new plan's limits. If you don't resubscribe within 30 days, excess content will be permanently deleted, keeping only the amount allowed by your current tier (e.g., Free plan: 1 story with 2 slides).
